This video demonstrates how to do a proper lubrication on your two stage snowblower. The guinea pig is an MTD 8/26 but most drive mechanisms are very similar. Errata: I continually call the large flat, silver disk a "friction wheel" when it should be called the DRIVE PLATE.

V-Twin 22HK B&S engine. Two v-belts on impeller. Homemade snowblower. Parts taken from broken blowers and modified to preform the best possible. Some modifications have been made since this video was taken. All controll is electic now, and the chute is the newest Ariens type, better preformance.

1962 Homko Snow blower walk-through by Western Tool

Here is walk-through of a 1962 Homko snow blower. It is a one stage powered by a 3 HP Briggs & Stratton engine. Some specifics: Homko Snow Blower, Model 351-01 manufactured by Western Tool & Stamping Co. of Des Moines, Iowa. The Engine is a horizontal shaft Briggs and Stratton Model 81252 Type 948546 Code 6206122. Long story short, it's a June 12th, 1962 motor with a 6 to 1 gearbox, as seen in the video. ***Note...I mention in the video about it's lack of throwing power. After speaking with a few people, including an owner of a re-branded Craftsman unit, these did actually snow quite well, even for their small size. *** This is part of the Cole Land Transportation Museum collection.
